NOVA Corporation is seeking a Network Engineer for the following responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, and administration skills in relation to TCP/IP based networks to include physical cable/fiber infrastructure, routers, switches, remote access servers, and other TCP/IP based gateways and devices. Ability to manage, document, and analyze defined TCP/IP address spaces to include subnets, VLANs, BGP areas, OSPF areas, VPN and associated tunnels, Access Control Lists (ACL) on required devices, firmware and operating systems for Juniper and Cisco based hardware and other network devices, connectivity to Wide Area Network WAN, and Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems for proper access control.
Cisco Switches 5K & 7K
Support Network Management via HPOpenview, Cisco Works, and other SNMP based management software and scripts. Analyze troubleshooting of network and communications protocols, to include hardware interfaces, protocol analysis, and data stream decodes, and trends to support capacity planning. Create and document network architectures and maintain documentation and appropriate databases and files in support of configuration management in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Knowledge of Cisco Systems Content Switching products, F5 Networks Content Switching products, Content Switches redundancy and fail-over features. Conduct analysis of Content Switching network design, operation, and routing problems. Ability to understand Web-based application design and integration into Content Switching network architecture and SSL Certificates in relation to content switch management.
Domain Name Service (DNS)
Knowledge of Bind DNS services running on UNIX operating systems and for enterprise wide networks. Understanding of Microsoft Domain Name services and its integration into Internet DNS, including implementation, operation design, authoritative hierarchy schemes, and industry standard practices. Ability to analyze problems with DNS routing, Zone transfers, and name resolution failures.
Sidewinder, CISCO ASA Firewalls, Juniper SRX
Understanding of Juniper SRX and ASA firewall implementation and operations; configuration of Access Control Lists, port and protocol access rules, and system maintenance; and Secure Computing COBRA configuration tools used to manage Sidewinder firewalls. Ability to analyze Sidewinder and ASA firewalls into an enterprise network environment.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN WITH A SECRET CLEARANCE
Security+, SSCP or CCNA-Security. CE certifications focusing on this task include but not limited to Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP
